Love the bright space with minimal decoration but as per them, it's till in the works.
Especially the vintage feel of the statement wallpaper ♥♥♥
Bubble Lights!!!
Corpse Reviver #2
~Gin, Cointreau, Lilet Blanc, Lemon, Absinthe
Lillet of the Valley
~ Lilet Blanc, Blood Orange, Many Bitters
Melting Snow
~ Nigori Sake, Watermelon Liquor, Lavender Bitters
We got to choose from the three feature cocktails and I decided on Melting Snow since it has sake in it but thought it was kind of water down and bland.
Warm Bread with Olive Tapenade
Beef tartare, Asian pear, pickled vegetables, quail's egg yolk, toast
What a great way to start off! I know tartare have been overplayed by most restaurant but a simple basic flavor profile like this one are my favorite, not overdress, not too tiny pieces, not too much ingredient mixed in which let the actual beef flavor together with the yolk be the star of the dish.
Shrimp Bonbon, Citrus salad, Red Pepper Gastrique
What a cure presentation and it taste as amazing as it look.
Romaine Hearts, orange, hearts of palm, olives, avocado, manchego, sherry vinaigrette
Vegetable stuffed chard, vegetable sauce, chive oil, beet crisps, toasted pumpkin seeds
Sautéed calves liver, Korean bbq sauce, sweet potato, king oyster mushroom
What a fancy way to serve liver, love the flavors and everything here except that I thought the liver was a tiny bitty overcooked. I especially love the use of the Korean bbq sauce here
"JFC" Mennonite-farmed fried chicken, buttermilk mash, tomato, preserved lemon mayo
This was probably the favorite dish for most of us that night, the chicken was incredibly moist and tender while the batter was light flavorful and crisp, remind me of Chinese / Korean fried chicken.
Steamed Portuguese rockfish, tomato beurre blanc, fresh dill
Perfectly cooked and totally yummy with the tomato beurre blanc.
Chilled soufflé cheesecake, boozie cherries, hezelnut bark
Callebaut chocolate terrine, local berries, whipped cream
We also got to try Lucid Absinthe fountain service and they will also try to start to do some wine pairing.
What a great event with amazing fun people and love how we got to taste a bit of everything.
