i feel like crêpe

i feel like crêpe, more like i feel like crap and good thing that I went only because I got a coupon of $9 for $20 worth of Food and cocktail from Dealicious. The place was empty when we arrive maybe we were too early and should have waited until it gets dark then maybe it would be a better atmosphere.... so this will be a short and quick post.

On a Saturday sunny afternoon there was only 2 customers when we went in and the decor doesn`t look that great either in the bright sunny light =(

Inakaya

It seems suddenly there's a lot of reviews and pictures on facebook of Inakaya's Volcano Roll popping up recently. And as usual I have to go try. We make reservation on the same day last Saturday and only got reservation for 8:30pm for the 2 of us and it was full by the time we got there with only 2 seats left at the bar which is good cause we didn't have to wait.... It's really a hidden gem at an unassuming location.

That's our view when we stand up from our seats w/ view of the chefs at work.

Also ♥ the bunch of different dishes right in from of us... big & small with different designs instead of matchy matchy white dishes that we see in so many restaurant these days (^_^)

and it tasted really good too, it's not as salty as the one we usually gets... it was extra mild

Sho Chiku Bai Nigori ~ Unfiltered Sake

~ this was a rather sweet sake, very smooth and flavorful

They do have a very nice Sake list and actually have a wine rack on display that was fill with sake instead of having bottles around the restaurant like most of the other Izakaya (居酒屋)

Beef Amiyaki

~ Certified Angus Beef cooked at the table on a small hibachi (small Japanese tabletop grill) served with sweet red wine dipping sauce.

Remember how I said I wish they had the tabletop grill back here, my wish finally came true although it wasn't charcoal but the blue chemical stuff.... but still it was super cute and we have been able to cook the meat to our liking (I like it super raw = blue). 

Very juicy and yummy !!! (^_^)

Ainimal Print

I have been craving for some animal prints pieces for a while now but most of the time when shopping, my bf will disagreed with me... saying that it's not me etc. At last found one that he approved, a fun & cute version especially with the touches of hot pink.

Didn't want to look like a teen/little gurl, I just pair it with all BLACK (my fave color).... and you may have notice that I have been wearing this faux leather studded jacket a lot, but I just can't help it since it just goes with everything. If you don't already own a faux or real leather "biker" style jacket like this, I highly recommend to get one and you'll not regret it (^_^)

Manic Coffee

Manic Coffee is my fave latte place in Toronto, the best I ever have here and I find myself going back again and again every time I'm in downtown. And after my post here, here, here & here, many of you have heard me rave about Manic and how I need a cup a day.... drop by Manic on Saturday and it was pack as usual and we decided to have ours to go....

Love it, first time got this arrow through heart design (^_^) Super Cute !!!

The special thing about Manic is they spend the time to do the latte art on every drinks, even to-go

I have had many latte at Manic before but this time it seems to be not as dense or dark roasted as before (compare to the last two pics and you would understand) and therefore the flavor is not as intense (not as good for me)..... maybe it's just one of those days, I'll still go back to give it another try and maybe I'll get the swan design like the one here.

☼ Bright Orangey Day ☼

This past Saturday was the first sunny warmer day for months now, it still pretty cold out but at least for a few hours it was warm and sunny enough to walk around without a jacket.

I have decided to wear my bright orange shorts that I bought recently, that's the first bottom in bright color cause I tend to stick with bright tops instead (cause I'm bottom heavy) with my eyelet strip 3/4 sleeves t-shirt that I purposely bought together to match =P

But it's still way too cold to go bare legs so have to throw on the thigh high socks 

I thought this is a bit too preppy looking compare to my usual bohemian / rocker chic style

This is a bit too "sweet" looking.. LOL !!!

Maybe I'll color block and remix this short with a crop fall off the shoulder tee instead (^_^)

Btw, I look super tired after a night of partying here and the under eye bag definitely doesn't go with my bright sweet preppy look

Porchetta & Co. have the Best Sandwich I ever have and there's no wonder why there's so much buzz about this small place where they only serve pork solder. And I can't believe I'm saying this but it's even way better than Macau's porkchop bun 澳門豬扒包 (even better than the best one from Macau's  Tai Lei Loi Kei) and that's a lot coming from me (cause each time I went back to Hong Kong, I'll go to Macau and one of the reason is their porkchop bun)......

Falsies

Haven't been in the party scene for a while = no occasion to wear my false eyelashes

(bought a bunch of them really cheap on ebay)

and so when a girlfriend decided to have her birthday party at 5th........

I have come to love them now that I get the hang of how to apply these.... I use to struggle for an hour and end up having it fall off within the first 15 minutes at an event =(

I find it easier to cut it in halves and apply it separately (outer half 1st, then the inner half and feel free to overlap), so much easier to line the lash-line (^_^)

♥ falsies but I just can't bring myself wearing it everyday like most Asians do these days although I have to say that my eyes look way bigger than it actually is =P
