Since they do not take reservation, we decided on an early Sunday dinner at 5:30pm, it was pretty empty when we got there but the place filled up within an hour.
Sonambula $14
~ jalapeno infused blanco tequila, lemon, chamomile, peychaud's, mole bitters
Started with a cocktail and it does pack some heat which I love
Picon Biere $6
Gougeres $6
Best way to start off the meal, who doesn't love cheese puffs
Salt Cod Croquette w/ Harissa $6
These were filled with cod instead of fillers aka potatoes like most places, these were so delicious. Perfect!!!
Pissaladiere & Chevre Cream $6
Love the mix of salty and fragrant caramelized onions, olives, garlic and anchovies with the super creamy chevre cheese.
Seared Foie Gras w/ Fennel & Onions $19
Earl Grey Marteani $14
~ earl grey infused gin, lemon, sugar, egg white
Love the intense earl grey flavor here and I think every cocktail taste better with egg white, is it not?!
Fried Egg, Wild Mushrooms, Creme Fraiche $14
Love mushrooms & egg combo and this is just simply delicious although I feel like quite an easy homemade dish
Boeuf Bourguignon $16
Love the intense flavor but wish it came with some bread for dipping cause I think it's a bit too intense on it's own and you don't want to waste the sauce.
Duck Confit, Escarole, White Beans $17
One of the best duck confit I've had, I have had one too many that's overcooked or too salty but this was so perfectly cook and
Beignet, Salted Caramel $6.00
Verdict:
Love the small tapas size dishes which means we get to try more.
Love everything from the service, food and drinks
Wish they would take reservation!
They just got a huge raw bar patio, definitely would like to go back for that.
