Old Flame Brewing Co. [Beer - Port Perry]

With the nice weather this past weekend, we couldn't resit going on a mini road trip again and to Port Perry this time for a visit to Old Flame Brewing Co. (@oldflamebrewery)

Love the rustic garage / barn feel here with a garage door that opens up to the patio.

Love the live band playing!!! At Old Flame, they always have different bad featured and with a large tasting room and patio, it was fun hanging out on this sunny Saturday.

Red ~ Vienna Lager / ABV 5.1%
Notes of caramel and toast w/ a smooth dry finish
This was by far my favorite of the day, love the toasty caramel flavor which was mild, smooth and easy drinking. It actually won Canada Gold for this catergory, so I guess I have good taste (^_<)

Perry Loved Mary ~ West Coast India Pale Ale / ABV 6.3%
Hop forward ale w/ notes of grapefruit, pine and citrus

Black Willow ~ Maple Walnut Stour / ABV 5.4%
Smooth w/ a hint of real toasted walnuts & maple. Finishes w/ flavors of roasted coffee & chocolate

Dirty Blond ~ Kellerbier "Cellar Beer" / ABV 5%
Unfiltered blonde lager w/ notes of bread and lemon zest
Easy drinking, low almost non existent carbonation like most unfiltered beer; it's definitely a great sipper for hotter days. This was my 3rd favorite of the day.

Brunette ~ Munich Dunkel / ABV 4.8%
Malt forward dark lager w/ a slight nutty, dry finish

Perry's Chocolate Orange ~ Chocolate Orange Stout / ABV 5%
Ok, we both hated this one with extremely strong and fake/artificial orange flavor.

The smell of the Pretzels from the next table was so good that we just had to order it, it's made from their Spent Grain (wish you could smell it)... so good, fragrant and flavorful; will definitely just come back just for that alone. So good and delicious on it's own that we didn't even need the cheese dip that came with it which was btw overly salty which overpower the pretzel's flavour
(maybe should serve w/ mustard instead?!).
Love the RED so much that we had to order another pint to go with our Pretzels.

At the end when we were deciding what to bring home, we were given a taster of the Scary Mary a Double IPA which end up to be a winner. Love the amount of bitterness with the sweetness to it.

Verdict:
Love it here and it's close enough to drop by over the weekend.
Great atmosphere with the live band, great beer and those pretzels OMG
