Disney Magical Kingdom (Orlando) - Turkey Leg

Huge $8 Turkey Legs are a must try in Disney Land and we have been keeping an eye out for it the whole day. It was always at the end that we spotted it and we were starting to get hungry after the exhausting walk around the park and the lunch here are pretty much non-existent. Super Excited =P

I was expecting a big turkey leg but it was HUGE

Ben's first bite...
I was expecting something overly cook and fairly dry and wanted to get this mainly for photo opt, but it was actually pretty tasty and have a smokey flavor

Disney Magical Kingdom (Orlando) - Tony's

Went to Disney Magical Kingdom on day 2 and we were starving by the time we got there... so we went to the information center right away trying to make a reservation for a restaurant (non fast food) and the only reservation was in an hour at Tony's (all other more interesting ones are all booked up).

Tony's Town Square restaurant is inspired by the charming Italian Trattoria  where Lady and the Tramp share spaghetti and a kiss (^o^)

Orlando : Our Hotel, The Peabody

This was my first time to Orlando and I was a bit scared when we first arrive at the airport, let just say it's super "vintage" looking..... and I keep crossing my fingers and holding my breath hoping that our hotel isn't the same. When we approached and as the taxi driver pointed to the tallest and newest looking building which was The Peabody hotel; I was sooooo relieve. I was so scared because our package including flight was $540/ea including tax, which make the hotel stay around $80/night for the 2 of us. Come to think of it, thanks Ben for choosing this amazing hotel which has cute duckies walking around, great swiiming pool & gym (didn't get to enjoy, not enough time), great looking room / bathroom and most importantly a renowned 24hrs  diner (^_^)

That's the AGT train (shuttle) in Orlando Airport and there was also wicked chairs everywhere.....
so 60's vintangey looking (>____<")

Café TuTu Tango (Orlando)

The foodie that we are, I assign Ben to do some research about some of the must-eat places in Orlando but after the long day walk at the Theme park, we pretty much stick to the restaurant at the hotel or within 10 mins walk from the hotel for our entire stay =P

Café TuTu Tango was the only one on our list that was nearby and on the way to the Outlet Mall on our first day there.... so we decided to head over for Lunch before heading to our vigorous shopping trip... we arrive at 11:10 and we were told that they won't be open until 11:30 but we were seated and were offered to order our drinks while waiting for the kitchen to open (^_^)

The restaurant was inspired by the time when artist found inspiration and community in sharing food, drink and philosophy with one another. Throughout the restaurant, you'll see plenty of arts available for sales...

Even the dancing frogs and vase on display was for sale
and just love how random, how everything doesn't match

There was a few of these antique looking drawing table all over the place, at first we thought that it was part of the decor.....

Orlando: Our Buys

It's been 3 years since we have been dating and to celebrate we went on a trip to Orlando since I really wanted to visit Mickey and the super hot weather is a plus (^_^)
The Shopaholic that I am, my first Orlando post will be about my buys....
Ben actually bought the above figurine for me, it's just so sweet that I have to get it as soon as I lay eyes on it, plus I ♥ Mickey... but it actually look better like that than from the front, much more romantic and sweet and I just imagine them watching the sunset like that.

I also can't resist and bought a bunch of Disney's Vinylmation, there's just so many style there and nothing beat the frill of opening that box not knowing which figure you are going to get
(which also bring up a lot of childhood memory)

Create Your Own Vinylmation x2
~got it at the outlet and it was so much cheaper whereas they are still selling it at full price in Disney

The birdy version is kind of ugly but 2 out of 3 is good enough =P

i feel like crêpe

i feel like crêpe, more like i feel like crap and good thing that I went only because I got a coupon of $9 for $20 worth of Food and cocktail from Dealicious. The place was empty when we arrive maybe we were too early and should have waited until it gets dark then maybe it would be a better atmosphere.... so this will be a short and quick post.

On a Saturday sunny afternoon there was only 2 customers when we went in and the decor doesn`t look that great either in the bright sunny light =(

Inakaya

It seems suddenly there's a lot of reviews and pictures on facebook of Inakaya's Volcano Roll popping up recently. And as usual I have to go try. We make reservation on the same day last Saturday and only got reservation for 8:30pm for the 2 of us and it was full by the time we got there with only 2 seats left at the bar which is good cause we didn't have to wait.... It's really a hidden gem at an unassuming location.

That's our view when we stand up from our seats w/ view of the chefs at work.
Also ♥ the bunch of different dishes right in from of us... big & small with different designs instead of matchy matchy white dishes that we see in so many restaurant these days (^_^)
*see the bottle of Vodka there, it's for the Volcano Rolls not the chefs =P

♥ the soy sauce bottle
and it tasted really good too, it's not as salty as the one we usually gets... it was extra mild

Sho Chiku Bai Nigori ~ Unfiltered Sake
~ this was a rather sweet sake, very smooth and flavorful

They do have a very nice Sake list and actually have a wine rack on display that was fill with sake instead of having bottles around the restaurant like most of the other Izakaya (居酒屋)

Beef Amiyaki
~ Certified Angus Beef cooked at the table on a small hibachi (small Japanese tabletop grill) served with sweet red wine dipping sauce.
Remember how I said I wish they had the tabletop grill back here, my wish finally came true although it wasn't charcoal but the blue chemical stuff.... but still it was super cute and we have been able to cook the meat to our liking (I like it super raw = blue).
Very juicy and yummy !!! (^_^)
