THR & Co. [Brunch]

We just happens to be in the area and was looking for a place for lunch 2 Sundays ago and we notice THR & Co. (@THRandCo) have their cute patio open, so we went in without hesitation since it was a nice sunny day and I know it's going to be good (see my previous post here)

Cornbread & Jam
This was fresh, moist and yummy! Good on it own but even better with their homemade jam.

Shrimp & Soft-Cooked Cornmeal Grits $15

~ poached egg, Andouille sausage, Sofrito & crispy shallot
I ordered this and definitely think I made the best choice, the sauce was perfectly hearty yet not too heavy with the grit, love how they use shrimp instead of other meat which make it more refreshing for the patio weather.

Buttermilk Fried Chicken $15-half

~ honey, pickled Jalapeno, coleslaw & Valentina's

Just look at the huge portion, there's 5pcs of chicken, half a chicken for $15, what a deal. It was perfectly crispy and moist but a bit too salty, maybe the sauce plus the sprinkled salt. And omg the pickle jalapeno was extremely spicy given that I can handle heat quite well, not sure if it's just the one or it's suppose to be spicy.

Poached Eggs & Smoked Salmon $17

~ Blackbird sourdough, crushed avocado, red onion & marinated cherry tomato  
(+ $2 Hollandaise)
Dad ordered this and we all though it was a rather boring choice although I love the combination of colors here

Fried Potato & Mojo Rojo $5
Got a whiff of the smell when this was bought to a table and I just ad to ask what it was which we ordered one right away. Perfectly crispy and perfectly covers in that spicy secret receipt mojo rojo sauce. A must try!!!

Verdict:

It's brunch is just as good as the dinner

Love the divider between the busy street and the patio, more quite and no eating dirt.
