juliette & chocolat (Montreal)

Juliette & Chocolat (@juliette_choco) was next on my list after our lunch here and it was just right down the street. They have 3 location in Montreal and this is the newest and biggest one; and it's all about chocolate.

Love the warm open decor which was perfect on a rainy day like that day and nothing more comforting than chocolate on a wet cold day.

Way too many choices, wish my stomach and wallet would allow me to try everything =P

We probably had more coffee than needed already from our 5 hour ride but I just need my coffee with my brownie ;)

Café au Lait $4.70/ea

 The Balsamico Brownie $4.45
~ Dark Chocolate, raspberries & balsamic vinegar reduction
Thought this was the most interesting flavor and was surprise at how well it all goes together, the sweet and slightly acidic vinegar balance the rich dense chocolate brownie very well.

Passion Fruit Petit Pot $4.45
~ Layers of dark chocolate & passion fruit mousse, cocoa ganache & passion fruit coulis
As you may know already, I ♥ passion fruit and I can never resist not ordering anything passion fruit from any menu. Not only was this my fave item we tried but isn't this the cutest thing. Wish I bought a few bottle home :) This mouse was light and airy with just a perfect layer of the denser ganache together with the tart passion fruit coulis on top was just the perfect combination of texture and flavors.

Chocolate Fondant $7.80
~ w/ a scoop of ice cream & a choice of melted chocolate cause or fleur de sel caramel sauce
Of course we choose the fleur de sel caramel sauce for the sweet and savory taste but too bad that it was rather light on the salt but nonetheless, it was still very tasty served hot with the cold ice cream.

Dark Chocolate & Raspberry mousse cake $5.99

My friend's Montreal friend was rather boring and decided to order ice cream :(

 My Instagram pic ♥

 Verdict :
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Chocolate heaven and what I like best was that everything that we ordered wasn't sweet at all.
I do ♥ my dark chocolate
Def wish we have something like that in Toronto, will def have to go back for more next time I'm in Montreal
