Was looking for a cheaper more affordable hotel for our Las Vegas trip since we knew we wouldn't spend much time in the room and we me kinda make a bunch of dinner reservations (aham, limited budget). I finally found a deal online for the yet to open SLS Hotel Las Vegas (@SLSLasVegas), a boutique hotel that was previously Sahara for $91 a night so I was pretty skeptical and when it finally opened a month and a half ago, the review was not that great. So I was crossing my fingers that it would turn out great and things will start to move smoothly by the time we get there.
The lobby itself was pretty small and nothing as impressive as the other hotel in Vegas but it definitely have the feel of a cute boutique hotel. Love the changing background behind the check in area.
They have three different towers with different themes; Story, Lux and World.
I made reservation for World Tower which features a super comfortable king plush bed. Although the room is not as spacious as most hotel in Vegas, it was plenty enough for the two of us.
Love the illuminated mirror on both side of the room which gave the illusion of a much bigger room.

Cute bar area but be warned that they are all sensor, so make sure not to touch or move anything if you don't plan to consume it since it will automatically go on you bill. I picked up one thing to take a look and had to go to ask them to cancel it. The safe was also kind of hidden under the fridge.
Love the touch of pink in the closet w/ the cute monkey ironing board.
The table feature a map of the strip and love how the room don't lack of any charging outlet/station w/ direct usb outlets both on the desk and bedside. You can also check out the hotel restaurants menu and check out through the 55" TV.
The hotel is also host to 8 restaurants and a coffee shop which is very important for coffee addict like us. Two of the restaurants are by José Andrés which is now one of fave chef since this trip (more posts coming up).
Verdict:
North end of strip but the Monorail is conveniently just right at it's backdoor.
Being a smaller hotel, there's no walking miles before reaching your room.
Tab key cards which is much easier than the old traditional insert and pull version.
Each tower need their own room keys to use the elevators and security make sure you have your key before letting you in the elevator area at night.
