For the first battle, the mystery ingredient was Neal Brothers Potato chips and each chef have to incorporate it into their dishes.

The four chefs competing that day were: Bruce Woods of Woods, Matt Basile from Fidel Gastro, Rocco Agostino from Pizzeria Libretto and Matt Petit from Rock Lobster Food Co.

And the judges are James Cunnigham (host of Eat Street), Bruce Croxon (Dragon Den), Jordan Hastings (Alexisonfire & co-founder Dine Alone Food) and Peter Neal (Neal Brothers)

~ Forty Creek Whisky, Rose`s Sour Apple, Cranberry, 7-Up

Dillon`s Gin & Tonic
~ Dillon's Gin, Tonic, Bitters, Lime

Cowboy Corn
~ butter + NB Sweet Smokey BBQ chip crust + cilantro crema + micro green
This make me want to top my corn with chips from now on, this was a very simple concept yet very tasty. Would have this anytime (^_^)

Not Your Mom's Peanut Brittle
~ w/ NB Pink salt + vinegar chips, classic 1970's P.B.
Funny that I got one extremely chewy which was a bit tough to chew but the other was a crunchy goodness.

NB Pink Sea Salt & Vinegar Chip Gnocchi
~ w/ eggplant caponata and salmoriglio
NB Pink Sea Salt Chip Ice Cream
~ w/ potato chip praline

 Himalayan Marrow Mash
~ creamy himalayan bone marrow mash, crispy onions
The bone marrow was mixed into the mash, so not the fatty goodness that I was expecting

 Sweet + Smokey Sausage
~ Homemase sweet & smokey smoked sausage, caramelize onion, aioli
Love the soft newly salty smoked sausage here which was perfect with the crunchy sweet chips

~ the big winner

Woods Virgin Caesar
~ NB pink salt & Vinegar chip rim
This was an extra and even though it was a virgin caesar, I loved it

NB Sweet & Smokey BBQ Chips
~ w/ Duck Confit, Poached Quail egg & Bernaise
After a bite, I decided that I need to visit this new restaurant right away. This was definitely my favorite dish of the day.

Maple & Brown Butter Glazed Donuts
~ White Chocolate, bacon w/ NB pink salt & vinegar chips
Who doesn't like donuts and who doesn't like bacon plus chips?! Do I need to say more.... nomnomnommmmm ♥
