Marc Forgione [NYC]

Being the lesser known Iron Chef, I really didn't know Marc Forgione (@MarcForgione) had a restaurant in New York under the same name but being a big fan of the show, I am all up to give it a try.

Located on a rather quite street, there wasn't much going on around here. Love the cozy neighborhood feel with all the knick knacks on the shelves.

 Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico 2001 ~ $115

Love the freshly bake bread

 Cute Amuse Bouche

 Spanish Octopus $18
~ Baby Fennel, Paprika, Caperberries, Smoked Almond, Silver Sorrel

Cavatelli $17

 Monkfish $31
~ speck, celery salsa verde, oyster crackers, clam chowder

 Pork Poterhouse $36
~ Anson Mills Grits, Collard Greens, Bourbon, Smoke, Red Eye Gravy

Long Island Cod $32
~ saffron, mussels, capers, kumquat chile preserve

 10mins Cookies $10

 Mascapone Cheesecake $12

For 4 people with a  bottle of wine, the place is pretty affordable.

Chef's own signature on the steak knife

Verdict:
All in all, we really enjoy our meal but really nothing to rave about
