♥ the menu, it's an extra large postcard format
Bar w/ Dinner Specials on the blackboard and by the time we leave even the bar was full
Love all the wood
Each table have different Salt & Pepper Shakers
(ours was super cute)
Their bread was super fresh and hot, the 2 of us finish these in no time especially with the super yummy watercress basil pesto which was super refreshing which was appropriate for the warmer weather =)
Oh and did I mention I ♥ the vintage looking plate a lot
The thing is they don't have a wine list and the waitress just if you'll like white or red and recommend.
I don't think they memorise a list but it's just that they don't have much choice
Steak Tartare served w/ crostini
Super refreshing and served "cold" enough cause I find that a lot of places serve it rather in room temperature.... love how this one is slightly chill
Mussels w/ fresh baked bread
It's cook in white wine and they really didn't skim on it.... yes more of the fresh bread and we finish all of it, dipping it into the sauce (^_^) Yummmmmm
Super huge portion for $12, should have share this appetizer or even order this as a main.
Duck Confit w/ roasted fingerling potatoes + asparagus
Unlike the one from Mildred;s Temple Kitchen from here, this was super delicious.
Fall off the bone good, crispy skin and the candied orange zest on top was a nice touch.
Simple, clean, traditional Yumminess !!!
Wagyu Bavet w/ caramelized onions topped with watercress basil pesto
(choice of salad or fries)
Order it rare and it came as we like it... super moist and yummy and the caramelized onion was super good.
While they served the same pesto cold with the bread, this one was hot and it just taste totally different.
@ $26, it's the most expensive item on the menu but really worth every penny
Salted Caramel Chocolate Ganache Torte
Served warm, it super yummy gooyee good.... melting caramel inside, slightly denser chocolate, flacky crust + the sea salt on top... served as is w/ no fuss
(no sauce or fruits on the side as decor like most restaurant that really doesn't go w/ the dessert)
Heavenly good !!!
Ben's Americano
I've been eyeing this from the bar since we sat down...
Macaron (salted caramel, strawberry rhubarb, lemon)
@ 3 for $5.50 - which is rather cheap for macaron, most are sold over priced and may I say it's was better than MoRoCo's posted here... the filling was an accent/ complimentary flavor to the cookies whereas MoRoCo's are rather mono-taste

Ceiling
Vintage pinball machine in the basement
Men's washroom w/ vintage fridge door
(no I didn't sneak in, Ben took it with his phone for me)
.
.
Men's washroom sign.....LOL =P
Vintage scale, don't think it works ?!?
Verdict:
One street down from Mildred's Temple Kitchen, I think it's more reasonably priced here with better service and I actually think their washroom was "cuter" here.
the scale does work. u must drop a penny in it while standing on it.

@Rob : thanks for reading my post =D I'll definitely try the scale when I come by next time... cause I did ask if the pinball machine work or not and the waitress told me that it doesn't...
